That is to say, everything you're seeing is totally normal. In combat, you're better off using your character's orientation as a measurement for where you're going to swing, and using aiming outlines (which tbh should be on by default let's be honest) to pick your targets. You can actually see with some weapons like the baseball bat that you swing in a much wider, less precise arc. Your character, in response to the flesh-eating threats that can only be killed by bashing the head, is rearing up a swing to impact where they're aiming, I.E, the head. You're actually swinging directly where your crosshair was, hence why there's a bit of a forward jab at the end of the animation. Your cursor is still the top of that line you see, the 'cursor' you're referring to is actually the grounding point, essentially the game showing you where the ground is relative to your crosshair under the pretty obvious assumption that your character is aiming for the head, hence why there's a long line drawn from that little circle up to where your crosshair was, because your character is still aiming there.Īs for that swing, you're actually not swinging 'down-right', you're swinging with a right hook because in PZ characters are right handed.
